Resumen
This present investigation aimed to evaluate the biological and chemical control of Neopestalotiopsis spp. which causes crown rot in strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch) var. Albion in production. Two independent experiments were used. T. harzianum, T. lentiforme and T. longibrachiatum. at a concentration of 1x106 colony forming units per mL were used for the biological control, and the active ingredients as cyprodinil 1g/L, pyraclostrobin 1mL/L and tebuconazole 1.2 mL/L were used for the chemical control. The experiments were conducted at Tunshi Experimental Station in a space of 450 m2, the treatments were applied directly to the crown of the strawberry plant in drench at a volume of 50 mL per plant, the same that were applied every 15 days, the variables and indicators evaluated were production (number of flowers, fruits and yield), level of damage (incidence and severity) and vigorousness. The biological treatment with T. harzianum yielded 22.36 g/plant, incidence 31.66% and severity 0.45%, with T. lentiforme yielded 21.85 g/plant, incidence 29.99% and severity 0.60%, and with T. longibrachiatum yielded 21.85 g/plant, incidence 29.99% and severity 0.60%. longibrachiatum yield was 22.11 g/plant, incidence 31.66% and severity 0.65%, in the chemical treatment with pyraclostrobin yield was 18.29 g/plant, incidence 27.75% and severity 0.81%, with cyprodinil yield was 18.68 g/plant, incidence 50% and severity 0.75% and with tebuconazole yield was 13.96 g/plant, incidence 50% and severity 0.87%. Therefore, the best control was the biological control where the lowest level of damage by Neopestalotiopsis was obtained and a higher yield, it is recommended for field control to use T. harzianum and cyprodinil where the best yields and a lower level of damage were obtained.
