This document is focused on the determination of the maximum power point of photovoltaic systems by using the Incremental Conductance algorithm, which addresses all the issues related to the implementation of a photovoltaic system. In this context, for the sizing and study, the photovoltaic panels (PV's) are modeled with data from commercial equipment and their operation will take into consideration the daily irradiation of Quito. The PV panels will feed three types of residential users, type A, B and C established by the Distribution Systems Regulations of Empresa Eléctrica Quito. The analysis of the PV system is a comparison of two scenarios, the first scenario is a PV system without the implementation of a Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT), the second scenario is the same PV system including an MPPT, in both scenarios the performance of the PV system is analyzed with and without the inclusion of energy storages. The results show that the most efficient combination in a PV system is the combination of a MPPT and batteries, thus maximizing the power generated.
