Abstract

Anxiety and depression disorders are more prevalent in people with psychoactive substance use problems, because addictions alter the functioning of brain circuits triggering multiple cognitive, emotional (anxious and depressive), and behavioral disorders, which have been affecting both adolescents and adults, because substance use is a relevant problem in public health.
