Analyzing the Chilean case in the last twenty years, the chapter critically evaluates the teachings of the Pontifical Magisterium that define the identity of Catholic education. The focus is on the declared guidelines of Chilean public policy for citizen education and the preliminary evidence reported by international measurements in the field.
