Reducción de las perturbaciones armónicas para la corrección del factor de potencia en la Red de Distribución Eléctrica de Chipao - Ayacucho

La investigación tiene como objetivo mostrar que las perturbaciones que generan los
armónicos de corriente eléctrica tienen una importancia significativa en la corrección del
factor de potencia en la red de distribución eléctrica de Chipao - Ayacucho. Para ello se
expone la forma en que estos armónicos de corriente influyen significativamente en el
origen de los problemas técnicos y los problemas económicos que se genera ante la
presencia de un bajo factor de potencia en las redes de distribución eléctrica.
Cuando se desea tener una medida cuantitativa de la calidad de energía en una red de
distribución eléctrica, se puede tener un primer acercamiento a esa medida con el factor de
potencia de desplazamiento. Sin embargo, cuando lo que se desea es medir el factor de
potencia real, es necesario considerar la Distorsión Armónica Total. La presente Tesis, en
tal sentido, permite demostrar cuán importante son los armónicos de corriente en el cálculo
del factor de potencia real de la red de distribución. Para ello, se evalúa el comportamiento
que experimenta la red mediante mediciones referidas: al nivel de reducción de problemas
técnicos y al nivel de reducción de problemas económicos que se genera en la red de
distribución eléctrica.
La estructura de la investigación se basa en la comparación de la variación que experimenta
la corrección del factor de potencia en la red de distribución eléctrica de Chipao -
Ayacucho, cuando para su evaluación se hace uso solo del factor de potencia de
desplazamiento y cuando por el contrario se considera además los armónicos de corriente
debido a la presencia de cargas no lineales.
