Tipificación de fruticultores de pepita en las localidades de Centenario y Vista Alegre, Neuquén

Resumen
El objetivo del presente estudio consistió en identificar las principales características y diferencias que presentan diversos grupos de fruticultores situados en las localidades de Centenario y Vista Alegre, una de las principales áreas donde se concentran los cultivos con frutales de pepita en la provincia del Neuquén, con el fin de contribuir a mejorar el diseño y la implementación de políticas públicas diferenciales en el sector primario de la actividad frutícola.
A través de un censo de los fruticultores del área, se recopiló información primaria en los aspectos productivos, tecnológicos, sociales, económicos, comerciales y de variables empíricas relacionadas con los costos de transacción, que posibilitó efectuar una tipificación de estos mediante el uso de técnicas de estadística multivariada.
Los resultados de la tipología permitieron diferenciar seis grupos de fruticultores con perfiles disímiles que fueron denominados como: Productores frutícolas pequeños independientes descapitalizados, Productores frutícolas pequeños independientes, Productores frutícolas pequeños independientes gestores, Productores frutícolas pequeños y medianos integrados, Productores frutícolas medianos y grandes y finalmente, Empresa frutícola integrada grande.
La información recabada en el estudio y el marco de interpretación de las descripciones de los tipos emergentes de la tipología permitieron efectuar sugerencias para futuros proyectos y programas destinados a los fruticultores del área. Al mismo tiempo, se contribuyó a la identificación de criterios empíricos que puedan ser utilizados como insumos por los encargados del diseño de políticas públicas para el planeamiento y ejecución de acciones de intervención destinadas principalmente a mejorar el desarrollo del sector primario de la fruticultura en el área de estudio.
