Las crisis financieras: un marco conceptual

Resumen
La crisis financiera internacional, que explotó en 2007 como un problema focalizado en el sector inmobiliario de los Estados Unidos, un año después se expandió a casi todo el mundo, convirtiéndose en la mayor crisis financiera después de la Gran Depresión. Sin embargo, las crisis financieras son un fenómeno recurrente en la historia. El objetivo del presente documento de trabajo es clarificar, desde un punto de vista conceptual qué es una crisis financiera, sus variantes, cómo y por qué se originan así como la posibilidad de predecirlas, con énfasis en las economías emergentes.
