Resumen
Kenneth Anger is a multiple faces artist. Considered one of the most important experimental movie makers he is also a myth of pop culture and underground cinema, which never gave up of independent cinema, concerned more with visual poetry of the film than it’s commercial success. Sometimes misunderstood, the artist who broke ethical and aesthetic standards, still today , 83 years old, impressive moves on contemporary scene of cinema, mainly on expanded cinema. In this way, this article reveals the long way of Anger’s cinema, since the experimentalism of Fireworks, until the visionary way of subversion of Scorpio Rising, from the experimental cinema to video art, the article examines how such and singular and polemic artist resists time when he reorganize his works in a video installation, even hitting Porto Alegre, almost half a century after his first work debut.
