Resumen
Human sexuality is constituted as a historical, cultural and social construction, which can cover different needs of a subject. Good expression is expressed in values and behaviors, depends on the overall health of the subject and is often related to the concept of quality of life. Failures relate to what interferes with the quality of normal sexual functioning. The present dissertation is composed of two studies. The first study, titled "Sexual satisfaction, quality of life and associated aspects in adult men", aimed to evaluate the relationship between sexual satisfaction, quality of life and associated sociodemographic aspects in men. A quantitative and exploratory study was carried out with 195 Brazilian men, over 18 years of age, who had sexual intercourse. Participants answered a sociodemographic questionnaire that supplemented the information obtained in the WHOQOL-Bref and Sexual Quotient instruments. The data were analyzed with the aid of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 22.0 for Windows. The results of the analyzes indicated that low scores on sexual satisfaction and on the psychological domain of the WHOQOL-Bref, can answer for high scores on the sexual problem scores in the relationship. Regarding the domains, high scores on premature ejaculation were explained by low scores on sexual satisfaction. It was also identified that low scores on the independent variables sexual satisfaction, categorized sexual quotient and psychological domain of the WHOQOL-Bref, responded by high scores on sexual problems in the relationship. It was also identified that high ages and low scores on sexual satisfaction, responded by high scores in the sexual infrequency. It is hoped that this study can contribute to science through the construction of knowledge, discussions and interventive practices on the subject, regarding the global health of man.
