Aplicação de reengenharia em software industrial

Abstract

Software reengineering aims to rebuild a system that is difficult to maintain but is indispensable in the organization that operates. The objective of the present work was the application of the reengineering process in legacy software for industrial use. This software is a tool for programming electronic products, which due to poor design and several poorly done maintenance, has presented a rapid degradation and difficulty to evolve to meet the new yearning of the company that uses it. This project was done by a bibliographic study regarding reengineering followed by an action-research, with the proper application of the methods studied. With the data obtained it was possible to reimplement it in a new way, meeting the expectations of the company and delivering new documentation that facilitates the maintenance.
