Abstract

Analyzes and assesses the progress of sustainable development efforts in the region¦s rural milieu. It focuses on the four strategic objectives established by the ministers of agriculture in the AGRO 2003-2015 Plan (competitiveness, equity, sustainability and governance in the agricultural sector and rural territories of the Americas). The report also describes the main challenges facing agriculture in relation to the new challenges for development as a whole.
