Recopila el desarrollo de la II Reunión de la Comisión Interamericana de Salud Animal (COINSA). Incluye la siguiente información: 1) informe de actividades del Programa de Salud Animal y cumplimiento de las recomendaciones de COINSA I; 2) panorama actual y futuro de la producción y salud animal; 3) tres temas generales sobre la Conferencia Internacional sobre Estomatitis vesicular, el Sistema Interamericano de Información y Vigilancia Epizootiológica y el Compendio Interamericano de Productos Veterinarios Registrados; 4) informes de las reuniones subregionales en salud animal realizadas en 1984; 5) trabajos presentados en la Sesión del Comité Asesor sobre la participación del sector ganadero en la planificación y desarrollo de programas de salud animal; 6) trabajos presentados en las Sesiones de los Comités Asesores sobre laboratorios de diagnóstico e investigación en salud animal, control y erradicación de garrapata y otros parásitos externos, cuarentena animal internacional y programas de emergencia, la coordinación de la cooperación técnica internacional en salud animal.

Compiles the development of the II Meeting of the Inter-American Commission on Animal Health (COINSA). It includes the following information: 1) activity report of the Animal Health Program and compliance with COINSA I recommendations; 2) current and future outlook of animal production and health; 3) three general topics on the International Conference on Vesicular Stomatitis, the Inter-American Epizootiological Information and Surveillance System, and the Inter-American Compendium of Registered Veterinary Products; 4) reports of the subregional meetings on animal health held in 1984; 5) papers presented at the Advisory Committee Session on the participation of the livestock sector in the planning and development of animal health programs; 6) Papers presented in the Sessions of the Advisory Committees on diagnostic laboratories and research in animal health, control and eradication of ticks and other external parasites, international animal quarantine and emergency programs, the coordination of international technical cooperation in animal health.
