Abstract

Introducción. La eliminación de caries, es lo que se busca al momento de diagnosticar una lesión cariosa, En cuanto a las técnicas utilizadas para la eliminación de caries, se puede decir que han ido evolucionando a través del tiempo, alcanzando en estos últimos años un enfoque más conservador con el fin de realizar tratamiento donde podamos conservar el mayor porcentaje de estructura dental sana. Objetivo. Analizar el tratamiento mínimamente invasivo de lesiones cariosas. Material y Método. Los métodos que se aplicaron son basados en la recopilación de información, se analizaron artículos, revistas científicas y libros, con una revisión del 70% de literatura de los últimos 5 años. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo, documental y cualitativo porque se llevó a cabo protocolos basados en evidencia científica. Conclusión. Un buen tratamiento de eliminación de caries mínimamente invasivo, dependerá de varios factores, entre estos y los más importantes, tenemos las técnicas a ser utilizadas, las que pueden ser, químicas, físicas o mecánicas, como el uso del brixx 300, la remoción convencional con fresas o el uso del laser odontológico. La agilidad y conocimiento del operador y un buen uso de las barreras de aislamiento y otras acciones dentro de la restauración.
