Las Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito de la Economía Popular y Solidaria del Ecuador: situación actual y perspectivas.

El modelo cooperativista actúa bajo principios y valores enlazan la responsabilidad social
y el bien común como uno de sus principales objetivos, además de ser un modelo que
ayuda a estimular la economía y crear oportunidades de trabajo. El sector cooperativo de
Ahorro y Crédito de la Economía Popular y Solidaria es un área que aporta mucho al
crecimiento de la economía, a través de créditos y microcréditos los cuáles son de acceso a
millones de ecuatorianos que tienen la oportunidad de subir el nivel de ingreso, para de esa
forma tener una vida digna. La presente investigación emplea métodos cuantitativo y
cualitativo, para obtener datos de la participación del sector cooperativista en el Ecuador y
se realizan entrevistas a Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito para conocer su evolución a
través de los años y su situación actual; por lo que los resultados obtenidos muestran que la
Economía Popular y Solidaria a través de las Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito se
consolida como un modelo o una nueva forma de estimular la economía. The cooperative model acts under principles and values linking social responsibility and
the common good as one of its main objectives, as well as being a model that helps
stimulate the economy and create job opportunities. The cooperative savings and credit
sector of the People's and Solidarity Economy is an area that contributes greatly to the
growth of the economy, through credits and microcredits which are access to millions of
Ecuadorians who have the opportunity to raise the level of income, in order to have a
decent life. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods, to obtain data on the
participation of the cooperative sector in Ecuador and interviews are conducted with
Savings and Credit Cooperatives to know their evolution over the years and their current
situation; so the results show that the Popular and Solidarity Economy through the Savings
and Credit Cooperatives is consolidated as a model or a new way of stimulating the
economy.
