muestreo no probabilístico.
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and
iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women attending the health center. This was a descriptive,
relational study with an analytical, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 56 pregnant
women between 18 and 35 years of age. They were selected by non-probabilistic sampling.
The research included tools such as clinical history and the collection of biochemical and
hemoglobin values. The results showed that the most prevalent nutritional status was
overweight with 45%. The most common degree of anemia was mild anemia (77%). When
correlating nutritional status and iron deficiency anemia, it was found that there is a low but
statistically significant correlation. It is concluded that there is a low correlation in the present
investigation; however, more studies are needed to establish a stronger correlation.
