La presente investigación se realizó con la finalidad de dar a conocer la influencia del control prenatal en embarazadas con diabetes gestacional Hospital General Guasmo Sur. La metodología es un estudio no experimental, cuantitativo, bibliográfico, descriptivo; se utilizó como técnica de investigación la entrevista realizada al personal médico de la institución, como instrumento la ficha de recolección de datos sobre la población de 100 pacientes. Entre los resultados obtenidos fueron: 58% de las embarazadas con diabetes gestacional empezaron el control prenatal en el segundo trimestre, 13% de gestantes asistieron a ocho controles prenatales durante todo su embarazo y el 28% de embarazadas con diabetes gestacional cursaron con sobrepeso como factor de riesgo predominante. Por ello se consideró elaborar una infografía como material didáctico para realizar charlas educativas para concientizar a las embarazadas con diabetes gestacional sobre la importancia de un buen control prenatal durante el embarazo para evitar complicaciones futuras The present investigation was realized in order to show the influence of prenatal control in pregnant women with gestational diabetes at the Guasmo Sur General Hospital. The methodology is a non-experimental, quantitative, bibliographic and descriptive study; the research technique was the interview with the medical staff of the institution and the instrument for this process was the data collection sheet on the population of 100 patients. Among the results obtained were: 58% of pregnant women with gestational diabetes started prenatal control in the second trimester, 13% of pregnant women attended eight prenatal controls throughout their pregnancy and 28% of pregnant women with gestational diabetes took the course being overweight as the predominant risk factor. For this reason, it was considered to develop an infographic as a teaching material to carry out educational talks to raise awareness among pregnant women with gestational diabetes about the importance of good prenatal control during pregnancy to avoid future complications
