conocer a la perfección para saber la cantidad y el modo de uso en cada tratamiento pulpar This study was based on the different biomaterials used in pulp therapy, however not all of
them have the same efficiency as others, among them we have the formocresol that has in its
composition materials cytotoxic to the health of the patient and throughout his life use can
even be carcinogenic, also the use of oxide Oficial zinc eugenol that when used in high
concentrations can lead to necrosis of the pulp, of the same there is excellent biomaterials
such as those composed of calcium hydroxide or newer ones such as MTA or Biodentine that
have been shown to have compounds biocompatible and with favorable properties for
perform pulp treatment. The objective of this research was to identify the types of
biomaterials effective, used according to treatment in pulp therapy pediatric dentistry, The
research method used was historical-logical and the instruments were previous articles and
research. The results obtained from the various articles that were taken into account made it
clear that biomaterials according to several authors, there are materials such as Hydroxide of
calcium, MTA or ferric sulfate that can replace the formocresol or zinc oxide and eugenol in
care pediatric dentistry, in conclusion, after reviewing studies, it was concluded that all the
biomaterials that are used are effective and each has its own properties, indications, and
contraindications that we should know perfectly to know the amount and mode of use in each
pulp treatment.
