actividades deportivas, caídas en los hogares y juegos Dental trauma is an injury that not only affects the tooth but also the supporting tissues,
causing partial or total loss of the tooth, fractures, displacement. These lesions have a greater
incidence in the anterior teeth, compromising chewing, phonation and aesthetics. Dental
trauma is the second reason for pediatric dental care, after cavities. Due to its high incidence,
prevalence and consequence in oral health, it is a topic of great interest in stomatologists and
in people in general, therefore, the objective of this research work is to determine the
predisposing factors of dental trauma in patients. kids. The methodology used in this project
was with a qualitative approach based on two types of research, such as exploratory and
documentary, in which information was collected from digital magazines, books, and updated
scientific articles. The results show that the upper central incisors are the most frequent to
suffer trauma. Also, the injury caused to the permanent pieces is crown fracture and enamel
infringement. As a conclusion, it was obtained that the main predisposing factors found were
the anterior open bite and the vestibuloversion of the upper incisors, referring to the etiology
are sports activities, falls at home and games.
