Influence of the order of adjectives in the written proficiency

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to solve the problem in the development of the written proficiency presented by the Tenth grade students of Basic General Education at Unidad Educativa Fiscal Veintiocho de Mayo in the School Year 2019-2020, who are experiencing difficulties in developing their written proficiency in the levels of complexity required by the guidelines like using the correct order of English adjectives. In order to find what were the problems regarding the written skills of the English as a foreign language learners, a study was carried out where the problem found was deepened and expanded theoretically through the use of historical background, theoretical and legal foundations, and also the context in which the research was analyzes which allowed gaining a better understanding of how the problem manifested. Likewise, different methods and techniques and instruments for data collection are included, which were: student diagnostic test, student survey and teacher interview that allowed corroborating the existence of the deficit in written skills. Using the information acquired through the literature reviewed regarding the development of the writing skill and the ways to solve the problematic situation found and instruments of investigation, it was possible to determine a pathway that could help the deficiencies in written production. Having in mind, a design of set worksheets was considered to reinforce the order of adjectives in order to help the educational community improve their written skills when using more than one adjective in sentences

El propósito de esta investigación es resolver el problema en el desarrollo de la competencia escrita presentada por los estudiantes de Décimo Grado de Educación General Básica en la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Veintiocho de Mayo en el Año Lectivo 2019-2020, que están experimentando dificultades para desarrollar dominio en su escritura siguiendo las Guías Curriculares, como usar el orden correcto de los adjetivos en inglés. Con el fin de encontrar cuáles eran los problemas con respecto a las habilidades escritas de los estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera, se realizó un estudio en el que el dicho problema se profundizó y expandió teóricamente mediante el uso de antecedentes históricos, fundamentos teóricos y legales, y también el contexto en el que la investigación fue análisis que permitió obtener una mejor comprensión de cómo se manifestaba el problema. Asimismo, se incluyen diferentes métodos y técnicas e instrumentos para la recopilación de datos, que fueron: prueba de diagnóstico del alumno, encuesta al alumno y entrevista al profesor que permitieron corroborar la existencia del déficit en las habilidades escritas. Utilizando la información adquirida a través de la literatura revisada sobre el desarrollo de la habilidad de escritura y las formas de resolver la situación problemática encontrada y los instrumentos de investigación, fue posible determinar un camino que podría ayudar a las deficiencias en la producción escrita. Teniendo en cuenta, se consideró que un diseño de hojas de trabajo establecidas refuerza el orden de los adjetivos para ayudar a la comunidad educativa a mejorar sus habilidades escritas al usar más de un adjetivo en las oraciones
