Post-endodontic rehabilitation plays a fundamental role in the success of root canal
treatment. Since the last century, restorative techniques and little conservative materials
wear out healthy dental structure which become unnecessary for placement and
permanence in the oral cavity. The aforementioned complication gives unfavorable
results such as microfiltration, dental fracture and tooth loss. Today in minimally invasive
dentistry and new adhesive techniques, the use of metals has been changed to composite
resins as restorative material. The objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of
the Bulk Fill resin coating technique in endodontically treated and structurally
compromised teeth in a patient treated at the installation of the Clinic Integral in “Facultad
Piloto de Odontología” period 2019/ 2020 CII. The methodology of this research has a
qualitative design of transversal type, using documentary and descriptive methods:
inductive - deductive, with observation techniques. In conclusion, it was obtained that the
Bulk Fill resin coating technique offers a highly conservative method in the rehabilitation
of the dental structure, creating a hermetic barrier directly and immediately after the
filling of the root canal, with the formation of a hybrid layer and a coating of Bulk Fill
resin from the inside of the pulp chamber to the peripheral enamel, protecting the tooth
physically, chemically and mechanically thanks to the adhesion of the restorative material
to the tooth. The use of absolute insulation, dual systems and a low viscosity resin is
recommended.
