Retratamiento endodóntico con Sistema Rotatorio ProTaper

Abstract

La terapéutica de conductos radiculares es el tratamiento de elección para preservar el órgano dentario, sin embargo existe cierta cantidad de fracasos que deben ser considerados, actualmente existe tecnología que permite que estos tratamientos sean cada vez más fáciles de realizar y en menor tiempo clínico como lo son los Sistemas Rotatorios y en el caso de retratamientos endodónticos el Sistema Rotatorio Protaper Retratamiento es utilizado con el fin de recuperar el acceso al foramen apical y la completa remoción del material obturador para favorecer la correcta limpieza, conformación y obturación tridimensional del sistema de canales radiculares. Esta investigación tuvo como finalidad demostrar la eficacia del Sistema ProTaper Retratamiento al momento de realizar la desobturación del conducto en un Retratamiento endodóntico. El diseño metodológico que se utilizó en la investigación fue cualitativo y descriptivo, se basó en la observación. Se realizó mediante la compilación de información tomada de libros, artículos científicos y un caso clínico que fue realizado en un paciente que presentaba un fracaso endodóntico en la Clínica Integral de la Facultad Piloto de Odontología utilizando el Sistema ProTaper Retratamiento a través del cual se logró establecer que se requiere utilizar como complemento limas Hedström para realizar la desobturación total del conducto radicular

The root canal therapy is the treatment of choice which preserves the dental organ, however, there are a number of failures that must be considered. Currently, there is technology that allows endodontic treatments to be user-friendly to be performed in less clinical time, being the Rotary Systems are a great example of the aforementioned. Furthermore, within the endodontic retreatments, the Rotary Pro-taper Retreatment System is used in order to recover access to the apical foramen and the complete removal of the obturator material to favor the correct cleaning, conformation and three-dimensional filling of the root canal system .The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ProTaper Retreatment System when performing root canal removal in an endodontic retreatment. The methodological design in this research is qualitative and descriptive, based on observation. It was carried out through the compilation of data taken from books, scientific articles and a clinical case that was carried out in a patient who presented endodontic failure at the Dentistry faculty of the University of Guayaquil. Findings suggest that in order to employ the ProTaper retreatment system, it is required to have Hedstrom files for an effective root canal removal.
