Resumen
Introducción: La obesidad y sobrepeso se definen como la acumulación excesiva de grasa de manera anormal y es el factor desencadenante de la hipertensión arterial, la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 principalmente, la presente investigación se llevó cabo en el Hospital Docente de Especialidades Dr. “Abel Gilbert Pontón” de Guayaquil
Objetivo: Evidenciar los beneficios frente a las complicaciones de la cirugía bariátrica en el periodo 2014- 2018
Metodología: La investigación es un estudio retrospectivo, con enfoque cuantitativo de diseño observacional analítico y de corte transversal.
Resultados: Nuestra muestra incluyo 250 pacientes a predominio de mujeres con un 62% y hombres con el 38%. La edad promedio de 31 y 35 años. Entre las complicaciones obtuvimos, inmediatas locales con el 8% a predominio de las infecciones de herida quirúrgica, inmediatas sistémicas en un 2% que engloba a las infecciones de vías urinarias y la estrangulación de hernia y tardías predominando la anemia con el 14%. De los tipos de intervención fueron mixta a predominio del bypass gástrico en Y de Roux con el 42%, de las de tipo restrictiva tenemos a la gastrectomía tubular con el 22%. De entre las comorbilidades van asociadas entre sí: es decir en nuestro estudio se encontró asociada la diabetes tipo ll más hipertensión arterial y dislipidemias con un 37%.
Recomendaciones: Se recomienda que se amplié el tiempo de observación de los pacientes con cirugía bariátrica, esta intervención quirúrgica es bastante segura. Results: Our sample included 250 patients with a predominance of women with 62% and men with 38%. The average age of 31 and 35 years. Among the complications we obtained, local immediate with 8% predominance of surgical wound infections, immediate systemic in 2% that includes urinary tract infections and strangulation of hernia and late predominant anemia with 14%. Of the types of intervention were mixed to predominance of gastric bypass in Roux-en-Y with 42%, of those of restrictive type we have tubular gastrectomy with 22%. Among the comorbidities are associated with each other: that is, in our study, type II diabetes plus hypertension and dyslipidemias were associated with 37%. Recommendations: It is recommended that the observation time of patients with bariatric surgery be extended, this surgical intervention is quite safe.
