Algunos de los problemas más comunes en la Odontología, es el edentulismo dental en los pacientes, sea parcial o total, más conocido como la ausencia de piezas dentales, provocada por extracciones prematuras o extracciones indicadas. Las cuales son causadas por piezas dentales con un alto grado de caries, por traumas, por iatrogenias y por piezas dentales con enfermedades periodontales, el cual es uno de los problemas que aqueja en gran parte a las personas y que conlleva a los pacientes a querer obtener un mejor estilo de vida, recuperando las funciones perdidas, recuperar sobre todo su sonrisa. En la presente investigación, se realizó bajo la denominación de caso clínico documentado en el cual se procede a realizar una rehabilitación de tipo protésico a la paciente de 64 años de edad, el cual presenta perdida de piezas dentales, caries y desgaste oclusal, y se le informó de todo el procedimiento que se le realizará para llegar a la rehabilitación con prótesis removible flexible, además de realizarle restauraciones para obtener una rehabilitación bucal total. Objetivo: El objetivo de este trabajo de titulación, fue lograr la rehabilitación de un paciente edéntulo parcial con prótesis removible flexible, además dará conocer las propiedades, ventajas y desventajas de la prótesis removible flexible como tratamiento rehabilitador. Conclusión: En este caso clínico concluimos que la rehabilitación con prótesis removible flexible para el paciente fue satisfactoria ya que se cumplió con los parámetros estéticos que el paciente deseaba alcanzar además de recuperar sus funciones del sistema estomatognático. Nowadays it is one of the problems that afflict people a lot and that leads patients to obtain a better lifestyle, recovering lost functions and their smile. The present investigation is carried out under the denomination of a documented clinical case that is carried out to perform prosthetic-type rehabilitation for the 64 year old patient, which presents loss of teeth, decay and oclusal wear. He is informed of all the procedure that will be done to obtain his rehabilitation with removable flexible prosthesis. In addition, to make restorations to obtain a total oral rehabilitation. Objective: To achieve the rehabilitation of a partial edentulous patient with a flexible removable prosthesis, as well as to know the properties, advantages and disadvantages of the flexible removable prosthesis as a rehabilitative treatment. Conclusion: in this clinical case we conclude that the rehabilitation with flexible removable prosthesis for the patient was satisfactory since the aesthetic parameters that the patient wished to achieve were fulfilled, in addition to recovering their functions of the stomatognathic system.
