The loss of all teeth is a condition known as edentulism. For rehabilitation, must
recover all the lost anatomical structures. The edentulous patient has alterations in
their chewing, phonetic, aesthetic and psychological functions. During the account
of the case, it is to analyze the total oral rehabilitation of the patient by making
upper and lower total prosthesis, taking into account the golden proportions to
achieve proper facial harmony. In this paper an adult edentulous elderly patient
reaching the query in search of better oral aesthetics was presented, the dental
examination is done and you can see that the patient prognosis is favorable. It has
good general health, with adequate muscle tone, a certain condition in the joint that
is probably due to poor occlusion current prostheses. You do not have smoking
habits or take. The alveolar ridges have a height that will allow us to get a good
retention. As one of the main objectives of dentures is to restore the functionality of
lost oral cavity, being first objective achieve patient comfort artificially restoring the
stomatognathic system lost like chewing helps us to factor crushing and swallowing
the foods for the digestive system can process. The second factor phonics as a
phonetic analysis is performed in the drafting process, making phonics tests are
helpful in preparing the correct aesthetic and functional diagnosis.
