previo. In the past there has been much incidence of cervical dental injuries by
multiple factors that are causal of abfractive injuries but very little is known
the risk of failure that can have their treatment in the future so there are
questions of patients with this type of injury. The objective of this research
was to define the etiology of injuries abfractive in incisors and premolars
upper with their respective treatment, elucidate risk factors associated with
abfraction and combined injuries, his relationship with respect to age,
gender, prevalence dental groups and also was observed that restorative
treatment have a lower risk of failure. is they were identified the Oral
conditions affecting these injuries including bruxism, salivary pH level, type
of contact to make the side disclusion, the presence of interference in
protrusion movement, laterality, and hypersensitivity. The research method
used was not experimental because a study is conducted without
deliberately manipulate variables, the development of methodology it was
based on being documentary, exploratory, descriptive, so data concerning
assessed to acid diet, features brushed, parafunctional habits, general
health status. There where an abfractions in results indicated that to occur
at high frequency in posterior and anterior teeth sparingly, as well as
elderly people where it in has the highest average. As population and
shows, a case was made with bibliographic information, the findings were
that it must remove the underlying cause before giving an to abfraction
restorative treatment with a good previous protocol.
