dc.description.abstract | This research was conducted in the sector "La Inmaculada" Cone of the parish, Canton Yaguachi, Guayas province. The objectives were: a) evaluate the agronomic performance of two varieties of cucumber in hydroponics; b) To determine the optimum dose of bioneat foliar fertilizer; and, c) Perform an economic analysis of treatments.
The factors studied were two varieties of cucumber (Beth Alpha and Marketmore 70) and three doses of bioneat: (0, 1 and 2 gal / ha). the same eight agronomic variables that were analyzed under the block randomized design with factorial arrangement (2 x 3), the mean comparison was made with the Duncan test at 5% probability were evaluated.
It was found that: a) The variety of Cucumber Beth Alpha had the highest average plant height, fruit weight, fruit diameter; b) The Marketmore 70 genotype showed higher number of harvested / plant and per plot fruits; c) The optimal doses of foliar fertilizer applications Bioneat with 1 to 2 gal / ha, increased fruit weight was achieved .; d) interaction effect was no statistical significance; e) In the economic analysis we have to spend treatment of 4- (Marketmore 70 range without application of Bioneat) treatment 5 (Marketmore variety with application of a gallon of Bioneat / ha), the highest rate was obtained Marginal Return
