Currently wireless communications have evolved from a discovery novel to be part of our lives. The various research protocols802.11 WLAN networks, its use and its impact on the market is constantly growing, because of the advantages and benefits presented. Mobility, connectivity and levels security are the ideal complement to talk WLANs. This thesis presents a comparative study of three protocols, fashionable, endorsed by the IEEE and belonging to WLAN networks, a significant support, from his
understanding and operation, to be able to make a decision right to choose any of them, like wireless solution within the area academic of the town. This work follows a research methodology
scientific literature, but intend to give the reader (or) a value was taken
added. Specifying, collects a practical analysis of the functioning and performance of
these protocols, considering implementing security levelswireless. Parameters considered: Performance (Throughput), Variationdelay (jitter) and lost packet (packet loss) were pillars of measurement. To theUltimately, the reader (or) you can find also proposed a timetable for a possible wireless solution, using a protocol that was considered the most suitable forRace implement in Computer Systems Engineering.
