| dc.description | The way domestic house workers are treated is a direct inheritance of slavery and serfdom. Besides, house labour is usually associated with the female gender, whose labour is often undervalued and discredited. In this article, the author exposes the problem of housemaids and domestic workers in Peru. It goes through its definition, historical evolution, regulatory framework and a new bill in this regard. Likewise, it develops a legal and sociological analysis of the way in which housework legislations has evolved, allowing to visualize the advances and challenges that Peruvian society will have to face in order to suppress the inequality and discrimination the currently occurs in this kind of jobs. | |
| dc.description | Nuestra sociedad ha heredado de la esclavitud y de la servidumbre el trato hacia las trabajadoras del hogar, siendo esta labor vinculada con el trabajo femenino, el cual es desvalorado en la mayoría de sociedades. En el presente artículo, el autor expone la problemática del trabajo doméstico remunerado en el Perú, desde su definición, evolución histórica, marco normativo y un nuevo proyecto de ley al respecto. Asimismo, desarrolla un análisis legal y sociológico de la evolución normativa del trabajo doméstico, permitiendo visualizar los avances y desafios que la sociedad peruana tendrá que enfrentar para suprimir la desigualdad y discriminación existente en este régimen laboral. | |
