Se realiza el estudio sistemático de foraminíferos de la Colección “Elías Aliaga” del INGEMMET, registrados de pozos perforados por el International Petroleum Company (IPC), para generar un cuadro sistemático actualizado e inferir posibles condiciones paleoambientales. Según el modo de vida y composición de la pared, se procede a la identificación taxonómica y mediante la comparación paleontográfica se muestra los rangos temporales útiles para las comparaciones estratigráficas. Estas precisiones tendrán aplicación en la Carta Geológica Nacional y otros proyectos como los trabajos de investigación en geología marina y en testigos de sondajes extraídos durante la explotación de hidrocarburos.
