Resumen
This is a paper presented in the International Congress Economy of Desire (Granada 22-24 June 2018). In it, an analysis is offered of the two terms of the relationship. It departs from the classical definition of desire according to Plato, which has marked the whole history of Western thought; follows analyzing the incidence of economy in the current consumerist lifestyle; and ends establishing a dialogue with the Catholic teachings about anthropology in the last decades.
Without questioning technical issues about finance, the point is to understand how can we correct our current paradigm for life, fostering the most specifice human desires, which cannot be found in markets.
