dc.descriptionThe Proposed Product is a Prototype For a Patent Which Consists Of a Confining Device For Marine Or Fresh Water Pelagic Larvae Or Aquatic Organisms Of Commercial Interest For Use In the Aquaculture Industry Or Research Purposes Of the International Academic Community. This Device Can Be Installed Directly In Any Open Body Of Water Like Lakes Or Sea Directly In the Natural Habitat Of the Organisms Of Particular Interest To Industry And Scientists. The Design Of the Prototype Has Been Conceived To Meet the Most Extreme Conditions That May Occur When Deployed In Open Water Bodies. It Also Considers General Biological Aspects In Order To Be Biologically Functional To the Different Development Stages Of the Target Pelagic Organisms (i. E. Larvae Post Larvae Or Juvenile). Also It Provides a Natural Food Supply To the Captive Organism Due To the Ability To Attract Living Food From the Environment Assisted By Bio-attractants Substrates That May Be Attached To the Device. This Bio-attractant Secondary Unit is Susceptible For Future Technology Development And a Second Patent. A Boltless Structure Able To Package Many Devices In the Smallest Space Possible Whether For Transportation Storage Or Sale Of the Units Has Also Been Considered In the Design. When Assembled the Unit is Also Easy For Storage And Handling Both In And Out Of the Water. The Device is Equipped With An Inspection Lid Which Allows To Easily Add Another Source Of Exogenous Feeding And Thus To Supplement the Natural Diet Provided By Our Innovation. The Design is Meant so the Device Can Be Placed Serially Either Horizontally Or Vertically Once Installed Forming Trains Attached By Ropes Buoys And Moorings In a Practical And Inexpensive Manner. The Product (prototype) Will Be Built With Injected Hdpe Material (high Density Polyethylene) a Resistant Material With Lower Density Than Water Providing a Slightly Positive Buoyancy For Easy Handling In Both Marine And Fresh Waters.
