Resumen
Among the ocular neoplasias, the melanoma is the most commom found in dogs. The intraocular melanoma can originate of the previous uvea, iris, the ciliary body or choroid. A three-year-old female Rottweiler was attended, with complaint of conjuntival hyperemia in the right eye. Transpalpebral ultrasound was indicated and also cytology aspiration, diagnosing a melanoma. It was recommended the enucleation of the affected eye, made eight months after the diagnosis, due to reluctance of the owner. No signs of metastasis were observed.
