TEACHING AND LEARNING PORTUGUESE FOREIGN LANGUAGE (PFL): RETHINKING THE CONTEXT OF IMMERSION

Considering the issue of university student mobility, we would like, in this work, to reflect on the specific aspects of teaching and learning Portuguese Foreign Language (PLE) in both immersion context and outside, from the observations made in two stages: by first, we describe a course of PLE in immersion situation at a university in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and second, a course of PLE outside the immersion context, at a university in Spain in a provincial capital. In this regard, we would like to bring a reflection on the PLE teaching in immersion situation and beyond when the didactic and pedagogical treatment of the inseparable relationship between language and culture, within an intercultural communicative approach, seeking to develop in the learner a communicative competence intercultural.
