Resumen
Myrmequites occurring in mylonitic rocks of the Portalegre Shear Zone, northeastern Brazil, area explained by Hackspacher & Legrand (1989) as exsolutions of K-feldspar porfiroclasts and reactive products of deformation and metamorphism. However, the microtextural features here discussed suggest a post-plagioclase vermicular quartz formation, in accordance with the infiltrative (or substitutive) models of myrmekite genesis.
