The present article is about the contributions made by the teacher María Dámasa Jova (1890-1940) to the educational present-day process. This investigation is a part of the project: Study of representative figures of the Cuban educational thought. By means of the methodology proposed in the project, a valorative analysis was make taking into account the principal contributions in its context and how came true, and about the validity of the educational scene of the present time.El presente artículo versa sobre las contribuciones que realizó la maestra villaclareña María Dámasa Jova (1890-1940) al proceso educativo actual.
