Young people in Brazil still represent a significant portion of the population and public public policies that serve their customers. Thus, some laws aimed at youth have already been enacted, attending to important points for the young population. In this sense, the objective of this article is to present a historical line of laws that have a relation with youth, through a documentary study. In the study, a timeline can be drawn between the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent of 1990, until the Statute of Youth of 2013, presented as laws that were registered in the last 30 years. In this way, it contributes with an offer of information on youth legislation.Jovens no Brasil ainda representam uma parcela significativa da população e requerem políticas públicas que atendam aos seus anseios. Assim, algumas leis voltadas à juventude já foram promulgadas, atendendo a pontos importantes dessa parcela da população. Nesse sentido, por meio de um estudo documental, o objetivo do artigo é apresentar uma linha histórica das leis que possuem relação com a juventude. No estudo, pode-se traçar uma linha temporal entre o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, de 1990, e o Estatuto da Juventude, de 2013, apresentando leis que foram publicadas nos últimos 30 anos. Dessa forma, contribui-se com a oferta de informações sobre a legislação da juventude.
