Resumen
This paper presents a critical reflection of the modern/colonial project, developed in 'Our América', from the late fifteenth century, with the "discovery - invention" of the continent, with the understanding that coloniality is a constitutive part of the project of modernity, which resulted in exclusionary, discriminatory, invisibilizing and exterminating practices of what constitutes the "other" (population groups and nature) existing outside their logic. It's not only a description of facts and a story, but above all, it aims to show that the only way to think of a truly liberating project is dismantling and not only re-thinking and re-reading this reality; it means removing the entire epistemic, ontological, cultural and social framework that has shaped and determined behaviors and ways of being, doing and being in this world. It sums up, to "think for onesefl" means decolonizing the thinking, and that is the only option for freedom.
