Resumen
There are several ways to perform the transmission of the torque generated by the engine of a motor to the wheels. The Baja SAE prototypes are not different, for example, the current prototype of the team Imperador UTFPR, which uses, in addition to a CVT, a fixed two-stage reduction by means of toothed wheels with link chain. This configuration leads to difficulties in manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and, most importantly, reliability. The purpose of this work is to develop, scale and design an alternative reduction system using only one set, or stage, of planetary gears, to replace the current system and thus solve and correct, if not all, most of the problems mentioned above. All development should consider the design requirements that the prototype needs, such as high efficiency and reliability, and present a proposal, containing the calculations of the project and a virtual design (CAD), which enables the manufacture of the same.
