Abstract

The Radiological Protection Program is a document that describes a radiology sector targeting the radioprotection part and is required for licensing purposes of a facility that works with sources of ionizing radiation. The purpose of this study was to develop the radiological protection program for a dental radiology clinic in Curitiba for intraoral examinations, based on the requirements and recommendations of ANVISA Administrative Rule 453/98. The work gathered documentary data from the Clinic and the performance of quality control tests of the intraoral X-ray apparatus. During the work, questions were raised about the routine and difficulties in attending the Clinic and based on these observations, a document with work instructions and training for the team was elaborated.
