Abstract

As in many institutions there Greenhouse Gases (GHG), the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) - Campus Dois Vizinhos, also emits your share of GHG a Different From sources. The project is aimed perform an estimation of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) and carbon absorption in UTFPR - Câmpus Dois Vizinhos. Based on research does not make GHG Protocol Standard, it was determined that it would be performed only scope 1, taking into consideration only direct emissions (vehicles, animals, gases etc.). Once search scope determined , He sought in departments and UNEP 's the Campus data as consumer fuel , fertilizer , number of animals,total forested area, required to perform the calculations and CO2 emission absorption based on existing CO2 conversion factors in the IPCC table. At the University there was a estimate issue annual average of 244.44 tons of CO2 and An Estimated absorption in 10,509.89 tons. Thus, it is observed that the University has condition of being an environmental example for society, but for this to occur , the university has to have more control over the data, for example, conduct annual inventories, have better control of emission sources etc.
