Sustainability is a relevant topic on all fields of science. As a consequence, renewable energy resources have become more and more often in the electrical energy generation process. In this context, there is a need for electrical energy conversion and power flow flux managing devices, such as the inverter. This paper study covers a covered three-phase inverters (VSI) concepts and inverter actuation circuits with the intent of achieving a three-phase output at the inverter. In addition, a full-wave rectifier with a capacitive filter was designed and implemented, so that it was possible to achieve a output voltage with no ripple effect at the DC bus. Based on the switching technique using Senoidal Pulse-Width Modulation (SPWM) - designed and implemented through a microcontroller -, the inverter was able to produce a voltage of 127 VRMS, with a fundamental frequency of 60 Hz and a power output of 100W, with a harmonic distortion rate of approximately 8,62% and distortion factor 1,62%, without the use of a inductive-capacitive filter.
