Resumen
The study of mechanical vibrations is fundamental for the development of the basic knowledge of the Mechanical Engineering student. The present Thesis aims the improvement of the Vibrations laboratory from the UTFPR Curitiba campus, by the development of a mathematical model to simulate a MDOF vibrations didactic device. A requirement of the device is that it must regulate the stiffness constant with the regulation of the length of the steel rule that is made as the spring element of the device. With the use of MATLAB and Simulink, the model was created with block diagram that emulate the displacement equations, the stiffness matrix and the mass matrix of the device. The mathematical model was used to calculate the devices natural frequencies, shape modes and displacement. To validate the mathematical model, a CAD model was created, tested for the same characteristics and then compared with the mathematical model.
