Resumen
Currently, the electricity is currently among the sources of energy considered essential for our lives, but it can compromise the safety and health of people who are exposed to it, directly or indirectly. NR-10 (Regulatory Standard No. 10) establishes minimum requirements and conditions for control measures and accident prevention systems to ensure the safety and health of workers. The health and safety risks of workers exposing electricity are very high, lead to serious injuries and even death. Accidents at work are those that occur as a result of working in the company's service or special safety work, causing bodily injury or functional disturbances that cause death, loss or reduction of work capacity. CAT is the main tool used to collect data related to occupational accidents. This article aims to quantitatively analyze occupational accidents that occurred in companies generating, transmitting, distributing and selling electricity in 2013, 2014 and 2015, using data collected from the Statistical Yearbook of Accidents at Work: AEAT 2015 The sector Electricity showed a significant increase in the number of occupational accidents, due to the privatization process in the sector, introducing new technologies, materials, changes in the process and organization of work and outsourcing of labor. It is therefore necessary that companies not only meet the Standard, but also maintain and pursue new programs with planning and study of occupational health and safety in order to minimize the number of accidents.
