Resumen
A conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrene sulfonate) anions (PEDOT/PSS) is widely used in various organic optoelectronic devices as a hole transport material. This polymer, under certain conditions, is transparent, flexible, has good processability for film formation, is non-toxic and exhibits high resistance to degradation. It has a low conductivity disadvantage, and a subsequent treatment with a dopant material is often necessary. In this work, conductive transparent films were formed by deposition methods via Spin Coating and Roll to Roll. The films were treated with Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) by Immersion and Spin Coating methods to verify the efficacy of each method and to modify the physicochemical characteristics of the formed films, in order to optimize their electrochemical performance. Optical and morphological properties and electrical conductivity are reported as a function of deposition method and solvent treatment. It has been demonstrated that the films formed by both methods present high
transparency in the visible spectrum, high conductivity and morphological characteristics suitable for use in optoelectronic devices. In addition, the Roll to Roll deposition method proved to be promising for the development of large scale conductive transparent films.
