Resumen
Preparing for the exercise of citizenship is one of the goals of education. Full citizenship can be understood as the possession and exercise of civil, political and social rights. The textbook is, in general, the main resource used by teachers. However previous work by our research group showed that the biology textbooks currently in use at the Dois Vizinhos Regional Education Center do not provide a concrete proposal articulating the contents of the subject with social issues making it difficult for students to be educated to the full exercise of citizenship. This work sought to develop a methodological proposal to approach the theme of citizenship in the subject of biology integrating the scientific knowledge of this subject with the education for the full exercise of citizenship. For that, the documental analysis of the three logy textbooks initiated in a previous work of our researchgroup was further deepened. It was observed that the texts of the textbooks can be modified or expanded and then be used to better teach the articulation between the specific knowledge of the biology subject and the education for full citizenship.
