Análise dos níveis de serviço das calçadas públicas: um estudo na região central da cidade de Cascavel - PR

Abstract

Walking is the most basic means of locomotion of the human being. So people at some point in the day make use of the sidewalks, because they take them to the places they want. From this, a concern was raised to analyze the comfort, safety and quality of public sidewalks, as well as their general performance and accessibility. The main objective of this work was to analyze the level of service of sidewalks in a region of the city center of Cascavel – PR. For this fifteen blocks were selected, with a greater flow of people, totaling fifty - nine sections evaluated. For the evaluation of the stretches, it was based on the tool proposed by Ferreira and Sanches (2001), in which are evaluated the indicators of safety, maintenance, width of the sidewalks, public safety, visual attractiveness and also the type of pavement material. Besides that, the safety of pedestrians crossing was analyzed as well as a direct interview with a select group of users. Finally, the results were organized into charts and tables, and then the analyzes were performed and a synthesis map was then created with the service levels of each section. It was concluded that, regarding the service levels, the conditions of the public sidewalks of the selected section are in optimal and good conditions, in the main, that is, they are adequately adapted to the users. Regarding safety on the crossing, it was also noticed that most of the passages are correctly signposted.
