Resumen
The present work aimed to propose a methodology to assist teachers in teaching chemistry of atomic models. In this, students confected the atomic models of Thompson, Rutherford and Rutherford-Bohr in macro-scale with easy handling and low cost materials. The proposed methodology was well accepted by the teacher in charge as well as by schools and students. In the confrontation of traditional and constructive method, it was observed that the construction method showed a very significant improvement in the absorption of content by students as well as the promotion of improved self-esteem of the same. The results of the present study have to contribute to the teachers in the proposal of a new teaching method in which there is an improvement in learning and student interaction to build the lessons and knowledge.
