Resumen
The road cargo transportation system is a highly complex sector to control, register and even to follow rules of labor legislation regarding the working hours of professional drivers. Factor that causes great risk of accidents as well as legal consequences of labor lawsuits. With a still recent regulatory law, transportation companies face a major challenge to change the behavior of these professionals who for a long time worked without registering working hours, excessive workloads and disorganized paid rest. This research aims to present a technology embedded in a vehicle with the ability to record the work shift of the professional driver according to the concept of the law that regulates the category, as well as to identify, through artificial intelligence, signs and symptoms of fatigue that they may develop during their workday, be it at the beginning, middle or end of it, due to excessive hours of work. This research also seeks to investigate data related to risks and causes of accidents in the area of transport analyzed. As for the research methodology, it is defined as a Case Study, involving a wide analysis of the specific phenomenon of fatigue intervention and control in the activity of road cargo transportation through technological mediation in Klabin Florestal S/A industries. Considering the proposed objectives, the collected data were approached with a quantitative and qualitative analysis technique. The study can still be classified as descriptive and exploratory. As a result of the research, it is verified that the risk of accidents due to lack of concentration when driving the vehicle due to signs of fatigue, are not directly correlated only to excessive working hours of professional drivers, but also with the stress of the activity in addition to insufficient rest times during their weekly work period. The control method through the embedded technology (fatigue sensor) provided the condition for this measurement, revealing inducible attention levels, where the embedded technology for the day's recording helped to organize the work shift of this professional, thus reducing the signs and symptoms of driver fatigue, providing a safer condition when driving the vehicle. With the completion of the research, it is considered that the integration of embedded technology and artificial intelligence in the road freight transport sector, significantly impacts the activity of the professional driver. In view of the results presented in this research, it is necessary to recognize the need for the development of subsequent research, seeking to better understand the potential of technology embedded in the professional transport sector.
