Melhoria na iluminação pública em ruas de um bairro do município de Foz do Iguaçu

Abstract

The work consists in the study on improvements of the public lighting on the streets of a neighborhood of Foz do Iguaçu city. The improvement occurs through by replacing with lamps up to 80 and 125W mercury vapor bulb for lamps 100W sodium vapor bulbs. The research presents comparative studies on photometric measurements performed with the help of a lux meter and photometric simulations carried out by software developed for the Company Repume Iluminação. In addition to the photometric measurements, the study demonstrated the cost of investments and indicates an increase in electricity consumption if the city implements the replacements. Comparing the measurements taken before and after the IP exchange, there was a significant improvement in the level of illuminance of the streets lights.
