| dc.description.abstract | The great diversity of vegetal species of Brazil brings great prominence to the country. However, due to the great devastation of anthropic origin, it causes the native fruit trees to be left aside and, on several occasions, considered in extinction. Thus, the conservation of genetic resources is essential, allowing the rational use, under sustainable management, of genetic resources and still aiming to reduce damages to the environment. For these reasons, this work had as objective to evaluate the occurrence of butiazeiro in rural properties of the Southwest of Paraná. The study was conducted on 383 rural properties in Verê, Itapejara do Oeste, Dois Vizinhos and São Jorge d'Oeste (PR) citties. The term of free informed consent and the semi-structured questionnaire was applied, with questions of presence, management and use of butiazeiro in the properties. A survey made of the amount of butiazeiros present in each property. The sites of occurrence of the plants were georeferenced using a GPS device, generating maps to support the analysis. The maps were elaborated in SIRGAS 2000 (Geocentric Reference System for the Americas), and projection system UTM, zone 22. At the end of this work, it was concluded that there is the occurrence of butiazeiros in the Southwest of Paraná. However it is necessary that they be mapped and multiplied, in order not to be definitively extinct, and that the farmer has great importance as a preservation agent, making their properties units of conservation for this native fruit. | |
